Two Words
A hole inside
deep and dark
just barely wide
enough to park
two little words
two syllables each
naming two thirds
of what's beyond
reach
only at night
or alone in the car
do those words
light
like some far away
star
no rage, nor anger
no depressed state
just simple wonder
of an unknown fate
once more I sit
in my room alone
a little boy
who now has grown
with a hole in his
heart
but no questioning
why
only, Mommy,
Daddy...
Who am I?
